This still-relevant satire stars Peter Finch as an aging news anchor whose network overlords plan to put out to pasture. He reacts in an unexpected way, which inspires an ambitious producer (Faye Dunaway) to develop increasingly outrageous programming. Elevated by an intelligent script and an award-winning cast that also includes Robert Duvall and William Holden, NETWORK openly skewers sensationalized news and corporate greed.
